The day has finally arrived and my girls are back at school. It has been a very long holiday (since the end of November), so both were ready to get back to see all their friends and get started with the new school year. I can't get used to the idea that Megan is in Grade 7 and Jessica in Grade 4. Seems like just the other day they were little tots starting out on their school journey.

Today the girls and I had the privilege of attending a talk given by Darian Townsend, the Olympic gold medal winning swimmer! He chatted to us and gave a demonstration of the various techniques and training aspects of swimming the different strokes. Yesterday we said a VERY sad farewell to a very grand old lady... Lucy our beloved Lab/border collie cross..... she was 11 years old and in a great deal of pain due to hip dysplasia and severe arthritis in her back knees....We will miss you and you'll forever be in our thoughts!!! I decided the other day with the encouragement of my 2 daughters, to make little doggie jackets for our 3 little dogs.... FISKARS THREADING WATER PUNCHThanks to a wonderful lady, Lisa over at Making Memories for you website, I am now officially the owner of a Fiskars Threading Water punch! KITCHEN & LAUNDRY UPDATE.....The kitchen cupboards have all been fitted. They were completed late on Friday afternoon. Currently we still have no water in the kitchen - the plumbers will be coming in on monday to connect the taps for the prep bowl and the sink. The tiler will also be here on Monday to start the tiling. We have bought the floor tiles and are waiting for a shipment of the wall

The builders are back!!!My house is in a mess again and the tiling begins tomorrow in the diningroom. So what this means is the entire kitchen, diningroom and laundry is packed up in my lounge at the moment. We are still able to watch tv, we're having dinner at my folks every night as I can't cook anything decent in no kitchen. So it has been a very challenging time. The countdown has begun.....

Kitchen is coming along!The kitchen is coming along nicely. It's amazing what a difference it has made to the whole diningroom - kitchen area to have the wall changed and no door! THE BUILDERS HAVE ARRIVED!The builders have arrived to do the alterations that need to be done before our kitchen cupboards can be fitted. Yay! I never thought I'd say yay! to mess, dust and chaos, but this means that we're one step closer to FINALLY having a lovely kitchen. We did our renovations nearly 2 years ago and had such a bad experience with the previous builder, that it has put us off
